馬格里特Magritte，Rene(1898～1967)比利時畫家，是超現(xiàn)實主義重要代表人物，擁有很多成功作品，而且他的很多作品都和他自己有關(guān)。在他看來，人的眼睛只是一面錯誤的鏡子，因為它所得到的只是自然的幻影，而不是自然本身。裝修設(shè)計在馬格里特的作品中，夢幻的感覺并不由于歪曲和變形，而是正常可見的事物放置在一起的沖突感。

“超現(xiàn)實主義”的創(chuàng)作方法是對以往以理性、現(xiàn)實為特征的現(xiàn)實主義的反動，目的在于對真實的深層次探索和表現(xiàn)，即有意將抽象意境與具象實體搭配，構(gòu)成一種既具體又模糊的虛實相交的境界，從而給讀者提供了追尋藝術(shù)家個體感受的信息。這與中國古人強調(diào)“超以象外，得其圜中”的境界吻合，在“虛”與“實”的處理中，“虛”的部分更是藝術(shù)家想象力飛翔馳騁之處，并，在這兩者之間取得恰到妙處的平衡，藝術(shù)如此，設(shè)計也如此。

"Surrealism" as the creation method is opposite as the realism, which is characterized by rationality and the reality.
